March Madness

Spring has finally arrived! Soccer season has begun. Matt continues to coach the 7/8yr olds. This season Ava and Matthew are on the same team. Rachael has decided she wanted to play too! At the first practice, a few minutes of hesitation and encouragement from Grandpa Starr, Rachael decided to play. By the next practice, she had no hesitation, just ran over to where her team was and began to play. The twins had their 18 month checkup with Dr. Ezekiel. Jillian weighed 26 lbs 14oz. (she has passed her big sis Rachel by 2 lbs) Jake weighed in at 20 lbs 12.5oz. Dr. Ezekiel says she is pleased with their development and wt gains. Jake and Jillian cried/screamed the entire time. Thank you to big sister Ava who was lots of help during this visit. Jillian is speaking in 3-4 word sentences and can identify animals by making their sound. Jake can repeat words if asked, and always says "thank you" but chooses to use baby talk most of the time. Occasionally we hear a "stop Jillian" or "want down." Jake can also identify animals by making their sound. Not too interested in colors or shapes right now. They both love books and fight over them constantly. Their favorite is I Love you Through and Through. Matthew turned 7yrs on March 28th! We had a family party at Amazing Jake's. We rock climbed, raced go carts, bumped bumper cars, and we all particpated in many other games. Matthew went to his well check with Dr. Ezekiel and he is now weighing 55.5 lbs and is 48.5 in tall. Matthew is into playing soccer, baseball and reading. His favorite books are the Magic Treehouse series and Childhood of Famous Americans biographies. Of course on the weekends playing Super Mario Bros on the WII is his favorite thing to do.
