As previous stated, we enjoyed our vacation, but our world and plans have changed so much since then. Less than a week from our return I came down with the flu. The rest of the gang joined me as the weekend and early week progressed. Jake and Rachael decided to throw a little vomit with their flu symptoms so now the couch (which was on its last leg) and our comforter are toast. We got new living room furniture and a new comforter.
Did I mention that I finally got rid of that ugly, out of tune piano and ordered a new digital fits-much-better piano before all this happened. Are you seeing $$$ yet...I was.
Now we are all better and on our way to the store. The gate to the Durango is popping open with each bump. It was time to say goodbye. Come Presidents Day, we got a new VAN!
If you're not seeing $$$ now - you should be. Needless to say, we are on hold for our property buying/house building plans.
Okay, now here's what's going on with the kids:
Ava is playing soccer with a competitive league and loves it! She's learning fast and loves to play rt wing or forward. Wait til you see her picture, she looks so grown up.
Matthew decided to join the Karate car pull club we have going in our neighborhood. Which works great for me, they come and get him and bring him home. He says he likes it so far and is excited to show off his new moves (especially to his sisters and younger brother.)
Rachael has big news today...she lost her first tooth!!! A very excited girl came running in from playing with her friends to show me her tooth. I want this girl's energy. She has an endless supply of it and has this great, big personality trapped in a petite body...I love it!
Jake is the male version of Rachael. Always on the run, maybe not as much to say, but moves just as fast. He is insisting on doing school work and "helps" Rachael with hers. He is very excited for his birthday, you know the one in Sept. He already can't wait.
Jillian says things that just crack me up. She told her Paw Paw that she couldn't find her shoes. So Paw Paw says I don't know where they are either. Jillian says, "that's because you didn't look hard enough, Paw Paw." Love how she turns it around on someone.
Last but not least: HABEMUS PAPAM FRANCISCUM
The kids and I watched with such excitement as our new Holy Father was announced.
