Spring Soccer

We had 2 soccer players this season with Jake deciding to play this year.  He played for the Fire Dragons and had lots of fun.  We did too! As spectators we enjoyed the kids fighting over who got to give to ball to the ref.  Or when the boys would forget they're in the middle of a game and begin doing karate moves on each other.  Even better when they forget which side we're playing and kick a goal in the wrong goal and celebrate when they did!  It was VERY different watching Jake's game vs Ava's.  
      Ava had an amazing season this year.  Her team, Adrenaline Rush, went from being a last place team to first place in the district!  Way to go Adrenaline!  There were many edge of your seat, nail biting games, but we pulled it off!  

NASCAR Fun!

For Matt's 40th birthday last year we got him a drive a nascar gift.  When we tried to schedule a drive, it was full until May of this year.  So here we are at Texas Motor Speedway.  I can honestly say I cared nothing for nascar when we showed up and was ready to leave as soon as this was done.  I never realized what a rush it is being even within feet of these cars.  The kids and I had a blast!  The school that puts this on is a family owned business and made sure there is something for everyone.  I have a new respect for these drivers and LOVE the live action of these races.  I want to do the ride along next time!!!

Matthew's Birthday 2014

As our spring season begins to slow down its time for a little catch up on the blog and to empty out the camera.  We'll start with Matthew's 11 birthday...

We surprised Matthew with a family party the Sunday before his birthday.  It was a group effort with Mimi, Papa, Grandma and Grandpa, but we pulled it off.
