Prom

Prom's theme this year was "Over the Garden Wall," and it was a small prom in which Ava and her friends decided to go to (last minute).  Next year they are planning on attending the Texas Christian Homeschool Prom where homeschoolers come from all over come and is very BIG - live band, actor/actresses to play themed parts, even each bathroom is heavily decorated in a different theme. Stay tuned for next years pics, since I will have to volunteer at that one.

Hello Spring

Spring is super busy for us as always with HSAA waterpolo, soccer, and dance. Matt was offered head coach position for HSAA waterpolo boys and girls varsity teams and brought the girls team to a 1st place consolidated champion win. They celebrated with the traditional throw the coach in the water move (last quarter of the game Coach Matt was already taking his shoes off and handing off his cell phone.)  The boys finished 5th this year and played well with all the new rookies this year. Ava rocked it out with a defensive player of the year award despite the fact she plays an offensive position. Her stats surpassed all the defensive players the times she played back during some of the games. Matthew was also awarded offensive player of the year for all his goals, steals, and assists.  Jake continues to play soccer with the Rockets and plays every position as this coach believes they should not have set positions at this age. Jake loves defense and wants to be goalie, but he does best at offense as a striker or forward position. Rachael and Jillian practiced hard to performed in the ballet Alice in Wonderland. Jillian was a card in the Queen of Heart Court and Rachael was a butterfly.  Rachael earned en pointe and was fitted for her Russian pointe shoes at the end of this season. Jillian was so excite to see Rachael earn en pointe that she was most improved of her class for now she is motivated to achieve en pointe too!
