Vacay!

It was decided by the group to visit Gulf Shores, Alabama this year!  We rented a beach house right on the beach with some good friends. It was a beautiful set up.  However, after a couple of nice days on the beach, the winds picked up and gusts up to 40-50mph made it impossible to go out where there was any sand. The beaches were closed due to dangerous swimming conditions all the way through Pensacola, FL! Which left us making new plans on activities. We drove to Florida to watch the Blue Angels practice, unfortunately the museum was closed to outsiders, but the Blue Angels was a hit with all! What a rush when they flew right over our heads! We ate at couple awesome restaurants with great seafood and drinks. Enjoyed a boat ride in the bay looking for dolphins. Many games were played as well as movies watched.

Graduation 2021

I have another graduate which is so bittersweet. I have been blessed that both my graduates are going to school locally therefore easing my beginnings of empty nest as many of my friends are now suffering. I'm proud to announce that Matthew has graduated from high school and plans to attend Collin's Fire Academy in the fall. In the mean time he plans to continue working over the summer and apply to various cities in hopes of gaining a sponsorship. Many of the local cities require 4 years military or almost an associates degree amount college credit. Matthew will be working on college credit as well as certifications. He also plans to finish out his waterpolo sport in playing in the Junior Olympics this summer. I can't wait to see all God has in store for him.

Spring 2021

Spring is in the air with all my beautiful flower blooming (some did not return thanks to our lovely freezes) and activities are ever booming in this household.  Waterpolo continues with Matthew playing his last year in high school season. He will continue through the summer with the club team and junior olympics happening in Texas this year! Jake will also play at the junior olympics with his qualifying club team. Girls continue on with dance preparations for the end of the year recital, Beauty and the Beast. Jillian and Rachael both were invited to company next year, with Jillian accepting and Rachael declining so she can concentrate more on school. Rachael will continue to take regular pointe classes though. Matthew attended the Texas Christian Homeschool Prom this year which did not disappoint with Return to Narnia theme. Actors playing all our favorite characters circulated the ballrooms and joined the kiddos on the dance floor. I wish our proms were that fun! Matthew took an EMT class to prepare for the fire academy which he will apply to after he graduates. Ava is working hard to finish up her 1st year in the dental hygiene program. Jillian volunteered to be her pedi patient!
