January -
With the holidays ending, the start-up of another semester of school and activities begins. First of all Matt and I celebrated our 24th anniversary by going out to dinner and attending the Fort Worth Stockshow and Rodeo. Relaxing evening with fun entertainment. Here's to many more years together 💖
The girls attended an "Alice" Ballet featuring many of their friends from another dance company.
Vacation planning for Ava's upcoming graduation trip in June to Page, AZ featuring Zion National Park, North Rim Grand Canyon, and Antelope and Horseshoe Canyon - Phew. So far it's looking like the grandparents are coming and about 4 out of our family want to go (the other 3 are claiming they are not big into hiking and long drives.)
Also, just booked a cruise for next January (25th anniversary) to Honduras! woohoo!
February -
Winter has officially arrived with a beautiful snowy couple of day. Matthew and I had plans to visit a college but had to reschedule for a later date.
St. Andrew's Prom Closet event opened back up after COVID. Rachael and I attended and found a prom dress, purse, and jewelry all for FREE!!!
March -
Jillian participated in Groove Dance competition which she won Diamond level for both of her dances.
Jill and Rach attended a very usual bday party at an aerial yoga studio (it's a dancer thing). Usually, they don't allow kids to go, but bc they are all dancers and very athletic/serious/competitive they listened well and had a blast doing it!
Matthew turned 19yrs old! He's just the best grown-up son a mother could ask for. Very obedient, kind, funny, always willing to help out. Can't way to see what God has planned for him. He's currently finishing up his core classes at Collin and plans to transfer - still tbd.
Jillian's ballet company performed an excerpt from Don Quixote at Dance Planet that was fun to watch.
Rachael is preparing for La Bayadere ballet production for the upcoming recital as well other genres of dance. She keeps busy teaching younger ballet students and attending teen nights with friends. She recently started PT with a dance PT due to some tendonitis in her hip (a common dance injury.) The first sports/dance-related injury in the Collins family so really can't complain.
Jake is still participating in waterpolo with Matt as one of his Coaches and they preparing to qualify for Junior Olympics this summer.
