3 National Parks Vacation
'The Wide World Is All About You: You Can Fence Yourselves In, But You Cannot For Ever Fence It Out'
- J. R. R. Tolkien
Wow! What a beautiful world God created! I have to admit I really didn't want to do this drive (16.5hrs + crazy gas prices up to $5.00/gallon), leave some of the family at home, and then spend my days exhausted from hiking. BUT, I'm so glad I did. Ava picked Page, AZ for her graduation trip/gift from college. The town happens to be centrally located between 3 National Parks: Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon National Recreation Center/Lake Powell, and Zion. Page itself sits outside one of the parks and it is where Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon are located. The views are magical and feels as if you stepped into a different planet all together. The weather had a cool breeze despite the 100 degree temps and was much drier. The pictures will speak for what we saw as too much to describe. Matt, Jake, and Rachael stayed behind due to prom, waterpolo tournaments, and really they "did not want to ride in a long car trip to do a lot of hiking." So we left them behind. Their loss 😏
