Texas History Field Trip

One of the benefits of homeschooling is the many field trips to enhance our learning. Rachael took a middle school Texas History class at a co-op this year and they planned a fun trip to the stockyards! We had cowboys run our tours, perform tricks with lassos, educate us on the history of the cowboy life, and demonstrate a cattle drive through town with long horns (a daily tradition in Fort Worth.) We saw one of the longest lit light bulbs, 111 years as of time of picture.
