Winter in the Woods

The amazing people who put together our spectacular prom in the spring are now planning a Christmas ball! However, the location is in Fort Worth and requires more volunteer hours which is not convenient for anyone in our area. Several local homeschool groups joined up to host our own Christmas ball in McKinney with the theme "Winter in the Woods."

These ladies pulled it off and created a memorable experience for all our teens. Christmas greens adorned the tables and entryways. Photobooth with a beautiful white winter scene was ever popular. Great music and festive sweet and savory snacks filled the tables. Let's not forget the yummy hot chocolate bar. 

I had gum grafting surgery so I was unable to help set up, but Ava filled in for me. I was able to make some yummy Christmas tree sugar cookies (sad I couldn't eat) - a Pinterest success! 

Rachael and Matthew attended. Rachael was escorted to the dance by the same date as homecoming (just friends I'm told.)

The group met up at Adriatica Village in Mckinney then off to Olive Garden for dinner. Super jealous of all the fun these kids are having (where was all of this when I was in school?!?
